Wow...this has truly been a week of the stupidest people I have ever encountered in my entire life! I am going to have to break this up into a couple of parts because each bit is kind of long.

Stupid People #1: Damn VA Drivers!

Let's start with the topic of driving.

Now, let's start with the setup. 55 mph two lane highway. Two cars in the right lane, both going about 50 mph at an even distance from one another. Car coming up at 65 mph (me). Now as I approach the two cars, the second one (a green Eclipse with VA plates), shifts to the left lane IN FRONT OF ME and proceeds to drive at the same speed of the car it was driving behind, but now they are SIDE BY SIDE! I wait for a bit to let the Eclipse to build up speed but it never does. So I flash my highbeams quickly - the universal sign of "Please let me pass". (Anyone that didn't know that please stay the hell off the roads or at least out of the fast lane.) And what does this joker do? He proceeds to BRAKE! In the FAST LANE! What the hell do they teach people in VA driving schools? So I try to pass him on the right, not adviseable, but really no other option. So he then proceeds to speed up! And then blocks me from the left lane. Meanwhile he is flipping me the bird and yelling at me to chill out. (Did I mention I *REALY* had to go to the bathroom as well?) So now I am forced to go back to the behind the Eclipse since I don't want to drive at 40, which is what the car in front of me was doing. And the Eclipse continues to brake constantly! Can you imagine how pissed off I was? Finallyt he right lane clears up and I make my move to the right lane, but this joker cuts me off into the right lane!!! Now, I drive a Ford Focus and the one thing it truly lacks in is the pickup department. I can't out-pace an Eclipse!!! So finally, I manage to get around this guy, who proceeds to tailgate me (not that I hadn't been doing that since I got pissed off). So I start the braking game as well. Eventually, much to the relief of everyone else on the GW Parkway, we both got off. We parted ways at the Rosslyn exit with each of us flipping the other the bird. Damn VA drivers!

It dawns on me that there might be some people who have never been introduced to the amazing world of sluggy. Go to www.sluggy.com . It's the best waste of time there is!!!

Wow, it has been half a month since I last posted anything. First thing's first. I am getting a new roommate. His name is Matt and he's a fairly nice guy. He will be attending Georgetown in the fall for his masters in International Policy. This seems to be vary popular with grad students around here.

Oh! And I bought a new desk. It kind of looks like this one: http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=12&productId=20756&langId=-1&parentCats=10121*10390, except no extra shelf, cpu holder, magazine holders, or scanner holder. Thus, mine was $99.00 as opposed to $159.00.

Oh, and is there a chat program on Xanga? I didn't think so, but mebbe there is. Anyone?

Alright, I had it with my old keyboard at work. My wrists were starting to lock up and I needed a solution. Damn carp-tun-syndrome! So I went home to my vast array of crap. And I was looking at some gel rests and a few of the keyboards I had lying around. Enter the Acer Peripheral Ergo61. Nope, Acer Peripheral does not exist anymore, they are now called Benq (which, btw, used to make this kickass standalone VCD player). And no, Benq does not offer this keyboard anymore. If you do a search for it, you may find that it is a rather large and bulky keyboard. Kind of ugly, but in a cool and futuristic way. As the name suggests, it is an ergonomic keyboard. However, there is also a touchpad in the center of the keyboard and the number pad is detachable (and how many of you really use that anyway?). So today is my first day bringing it to work and I gotta say...this thing is HUGE. I already had to clear off a ton of desktop space to even lay it all out. But so far, my wrists hurt less and I am typing somewhat normally. So we'll see how this progresses.

Yes, this is the only thing exciting going on in my world as of right now. Le sigh...
